My experiences with Robert's Spinulosums are that they flush like mad!!! They do take a lot of water, but man do they grow fast!!!
If this is your first Spinulosum, you will find a new new favorite.

I am getting a BIG Dioon Edule Flush

No pics as of right now, but I checked a Dioon Edule w/ a caudex size of slightly larger than a grapefruit, and it is opening up and you can see a BIG flush starting. I will post an update next week, and include it in the mid summer pics update thread also.
Does anybody know how often Edules flush?

Lucky, as soon as you start hitting days with high 70's low 80's for highs and 60's for lows, WATCH OUT.

New thread Idea for Cycad lovers

I was thinking about this and let me know if it's a good idea. With the super responses to KNNN's "A Nice Start to the Season" thread, I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread since we are not in the "start" of the season anymore, to start showing new flushes that ...

No I have not repotted. I was going to as it sets pretty low in the pot so I can use the same pot, just add some soil.
But it is REALLY healthy and REALLY green and full so I didn't want to mess with it. If it doesn't flush this year, I will repot it thou.

Steve, let me put it to you like this...
I got one Spinulosum from a Nursery in Wichita two years ago that has never flushed.
I got two Spinulosum from Robert Chumley two years ago that both have flushed 3 times each.
I would give Chumley a call buddy.

Re: Washy`s

Wes depends on what size Washy your talking about. From seedling stage it normally takes two years under optimum growing conditions to get to 3 gal size they really pick up speed from here as long as they go into larger a size pot yearly. You`ll have a few years before they outgrow your greenhouse....
