Here s some bad result about my others ways for protecting palms. My biggest Needle palm was perfect 3 weeks ago, i uncovered it today with 2 other palms, and saw a lot of damages du to the excess of heat i think. There was only one 23 watts bulb always on inside a 3/4 inches styrofoam box. Next time i will use a thermocube, i think the heat was to high inside with the stronger sun at this time of the year.
Second, my Sabal minor has a lot of damage, i used only a pot with 1xC9 light always on inside (must use a styrofoam box next time).
Third one, my small Trachy with mummywrapping technique as had a fongus problem or suffered by the cold, cause the roof heatcable stoped working during the winter. But it will survive, the spear is green, will see later on.
One thing we really use is a thermostat inside a styrofoam box to prevent overheating especialy in spring. And for the mummywrapping method, better to use a Easyheat tape 18-24 feets long for a 8-12 feets palm is ok. My mistake was giving to much heat for what the tree really need.
Will have better results with the box. But thats the price to pay for experiencing

.....Will post a videos on Youtube soon...
