How often should I fertilize my windmill palms and needle palm? They are still not big yet so I don't want to give them too much. What fertilizer should I use? Is there a fertilizer that I can buy here in Ontario Canada?

Temperatures around here are going to be in the 40s and 50s for the next week. The lowest temperature for night time low in the next week will be 30 on Saturday night, 34 on Sunday night and 36 on Monday night. Night time temps for other nights this week will be in the 40s.

I live in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I have a windmill palm, a needle palm and 3 musa basjoo. I still have them in their winter protection. Can I start to uncover them? I'm a bit concerned because there is still a possibility of below zero C nights. I hope I have better luck than last year.

Well, I'm pretty sure one of my windmill palms is dead. The trunk feels soft. The other one... maybe, maybe! It looks a bit better after I put the fungicide on it. The needle palm does look promising. Should I be doing something to help them now? Fertilize? or something else?

I called around to different garden centers and no one heard of the term frost cloth or row cover... I was surprised. Where do I get frost cloth? I have tarp covering the top of the palms now and burlap around the sides.
