I live in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I have a windmill palm, a needle palm and 3 musa basjoo. I still have them in their winter protection. Can I start to uncover them? I'm a bit concerned because there is still a possibility of below zero C nights. I hope I have better luck than last year.
I love palms.
what temps you got

I wouldn't uncover your musa yet even a bit of frost will turn your leaves black. I'm not uncovering mine for another 2 weeks. Everything else except my washintonia robusta is out. My big fortunei had something go wrong over the winter it looks pretty bad
hopefully it pushes a few fronds and I can trim off some others to improve its looks.
Good luck.

Good luck.

Jim's thrilled he's at 70F
obviously.
Sounds like it's been very cool the past two mornings.
I'd recommend keeping the snow/rain off them.
Good luck.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

I uncovered my two windmill palms and my needle palm. So far, they look pretty good. The needle palm has no damage at all. My banana plants didn't make it. They were all mushy. I'll try and take some pictures soon. Is there something I should do to help my palms transition well from being covered to the outdoor climate uncovered?
I love palms.
My advise is not to over water them for a while. There is enough humidity in the ground and we may still have cold days ahead.
