The trispinosus received some frost damage this winter and those leaves were cut off. All seems well this spring, though!

Thanks! I guess the hunt is part of the fun. You seem remarkably successful at these guys! I have only been growing them for a year and a half, so the jury is still out... I've enjoyed reading your posts in this forum.
Here's an Encephalartos paucidentatus that I've grown from seed just pushing its first leaf. The petiole is about 5mm in diameter - these things don't start out with tiny stems like the cycas and dioons do!<br>
