The one thing that is apparent is the enthusiasm by the citzens of Vancouver (you can't even see a square inch of pavement with the crowds). So much has been made of Vancouver being a party pooper city over the past decade. It's beyond what I think even the most supportive people would have expected ... street parties, night clubs, Olympic support etc in a very friendly atmosphere.
We haven't heard of any drive-by shootings, murders or drug related crime during this time. Very refreshing!
