That growth looks like it's all from one year!? Rampant comes to mind for adverb. Looks like you're really enjoying your GH, saw the posts in another spot. Good for you. If I had one I'd LIVE in it!
I was drooling looking at this site...oh well, when I win the lottery!
Knnn you'll cry when you see how I pruned my Ficus benjamina...it was scraping the popcorn off the ceiling (not that I want to save the popcorn).
I left about five leaves on it...it'll either come back like crazy, or croak. C'est la vie.
The roots had started taking on a typical banyan look, with bulbous type swellings.
The brownish marks are from just watering it.
Steve, like the idea of putting a rock in there!
It was gorgeous today, sun w some cloud, no wind (yahooooo), and (drumroll) 17 degrees for a little while this p.m.
It took two of us to get this fig outdoors. Now it'll have to perform or croak.
The tree looks so ugly I don't care which.
Bet your variegated fig is putting out a lot of new shoots..
Cheers.

BTW Steve, the Bengal you gave me that I wasn't sure if I'de like it or not, but now it's one of my all-time favorites....
Lost about half it's leaves over the Winter, however, about 3 weeks ago I moved it into the third story bathroom (mine) where it gets A LOT of humidity from my showers and alot of good, Morning, East sun. Now it has a sproat at the top of the mother trunk with THREE LEAVES all opening at once in one area, and the second trunk has about 6 off set branches, each with 10-12 leaves on it.
REALLY LOOKS GREAT!!!!
kansas do you have a pic of that Bengal? I've never seen one.
steve, yup it's a heck of a way to get into shape...my shoulders are still sore from that palm yesterday.
Great that your weather has turned around.
And today...all the succulents went into the ground! I'm almost free of potted plants. Oh what a feeling (song?!)
Most of my other potted plants came out too and onto a patio table under an overhang.
The two divided calamamondins still look sick but sunshine should cure them.

Lucky, there is a pic of a Bengal just up towards the top of this thread, Steve (KNNN) posted it.
I gotta say, this is one of my favorites. Every day, I look at it and keep up on the progress as I get in the shower every morning. It also doesn't hurt that the wife doesn't mind it either since it grows UP and not out.
Ah yes, that's the bengal. Looks like it wants to be 20 feet tall THIS YEAR!
I looked it up on Google Images and they get very big...adding on another floor to your house?
And Steve's humid greenhouse proves it loves humidity so the bathroom is perfect.
Our bathrooms are so damn small, we hardly have room for a toothbrush, let alone a plant.
