I hate to do this, but time flows so swiftly... It's time for winter protection, again! It may be premature you might think, but I have cacti there and they need to stay as dry as possible before real winter comes.

Sad to see the cooler temps for sure.. Do you add any supplemental heat or ventilation for them? The protection method looks great. I guess you've had success year after year.. Congrats!

I'm planning to make an inclined shelter just like yours to protect my young yuccas and cacti, I will leave it a bit open at the bottom.

The picture doesn't show but I always cut two "windows" and leave them open for ventilation purposes. I have overwintered my plants for three winters in a row this way so far.
