as you can see in the pictures some of the fronds are hanging because they broke, but in all palm looks droopy. It does have a few good spears coming up though.
I check soil moisture as I don't want to over water it, and soil moisture says "wet" and other than when I transplanted it and gave it a good soak, it's only had spring rains.
Does it need more water than I'm giving it? or should I cut off all the fronds so strength goes to new spears much like a Palmetto's "hurricane cut" looks like?
This palm was a $25 special a couple of years ago, but since it's survived in the ground two winters and it's grown so well have gotten attached to it.
BTW, it's on the South side of my house so gets a lot of good sun.
