Bill's Place

Post by Cameron_z6a_N.S. » Tue Dec 11, 2012 6:23 pm

In early April of this year, I was in Massachusetts. I happened to be staying relatively close to where Bill lives, so I was able to head over there and meet both Bill and Tim. I was planning on seeing Tim's yard as well, but because of my late start and wrong turns, that will have to wait for another trip! Even though they live in the same zone as myself, Bill and Tim's areas were about a week ahead in terms of Spring weather! Anyways, I had forgotten about these pictures, but here they are. Bill or Tim, if I mislabel anything, feel free to correct me

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Cameron, thanks so much for finding--and posting--those great shots of Bill's place.

Wow, have those palms ever grown at the side of the house.
I remember when they were half that size.
And look at the seeds hanging like grapes!
And the bananas!!!!!
:D

Great to see the GH again and how well all his stuff is doing.

The bugger...he sold MY blue Waggie :confused1:

Too bad you missed Tim's place.
Probably needed a woman as navigator :laughing1:

Thanks for this!

Hi Cameron,

we are in the tropics compared to you! :booty:

Yes, Bill does protect all his Trachys. I believe Cameron was down in spring after the Trachy protection was removed but the tender plants were still protected like the Tetrapanex, Washy, etc....

ID's look good but the BBB Magnolia is a little gem; the gardenia is a Holly; the C. revoluta is a Dioon; the A. victoria-reginae is a toumeyana.

You'll have to come back and check out all his Yucca rostratas and thompsonianas. :headbang:
