My wife noticed this from another board. Very interesting. The guy wraps it in lights and plastic over winter. Hes in iowa zone5. Heres the link

:compress: Is this an "accepted method of protecting a palm? do the fronds have to "breath"?

He said he did that because heat rises and with the lightbulbs on in the winter the top was 70+ degrees. He did that to let off heat
