I just can't believe this weather!! The normal high today is 43 here! My lilac is leafing out, the maples are flowering and the forsythia is about to bloom!

I have all my bananas outside, planted a palm yesterday and worked on mulching some of the beds -- usually work that I perform in mid to late April! Here are some pictures of my yard / plants.

Oldest trachy looking great. Glad I uncovered him when I did!

Other trachy filling out nicely.

Here is one of my trachycarpus wagnerianus that I planted yesterday.

Yucca color guard.

Magnolia bronzed out.

Buds and stems look great.

Image

Rhododendron looks great. Mulched with pine bark. Should help lower the pH nicely for the rhododendron.

Image

Look how green the grass is already!!

Image

Another angle showing the yard greening up really early!

Can't wait to plant the other beds, but I'm not gonna jump the gun. Would hate to plant early and then lose everything to a late cold snap.

Check out this picture from around the same time last year!!!!

I'm in Dallas Texas right now and it won't get that warm here!
Sorry about the magnolia. I'm surprised.

I think I'm starting to get a little sick... :D All of the bulbs are popping up, trees are starting to bud..This is crazy, but awesome! All my palms have been outside since last week. I think this weather is gonna stick around. (hopefully)

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

your garden looks great Tim. I hope the warmth continues for you. Your EB Mag looks totally fried. Keep us updated on its recovery.
