Amazing warm-up -- 90F

This time last week I was scared, but still ignorant of what was in store for me, my animals and the palms.
That week seems like a season ago. As I get ready for bed, I have all outdoor palms uncovered and the PDP in a pot (recovering indoors from a difficult October) is out under the stars.

This meteogram shows the ~ 90 F difference a week makes. Sorry it is in Fahrenheit, but the grey horizontal line shows 0 oC.

Let's hope you never have a week like that again...ever.

Hope your over-the-winter indoor palms are outside too.

It is 6 am right now and 63 oF outside--precisely 7 days later. Wow.

Well, only the PDP got to spend the night out.
My back is hurt from slips-and-falls last week, so most indoor palms never got out, and when I wasn't looking W brought most of those in.

So, only PDP (plus a few non-palms) got a night under the stars.
But--it was as warm outdoors as in last night. I feel "done" with winter protection. Just like I did in late January

I meant Bizzie etc should be outside during the DAY.
Especially when you were 22C.

Unless you're watching weather reports twice a day, leaving potted plants outside at night is still a bit risky in February, no matter where you live.

Your Washy (or Waggie?) should be outside too during the day, preferrably in half shade at first.

But that's just what I'd do...

thanks.
Bizzie grew so well it is too big for me with my hurt back to move 2x daily. It is probably stuck inside for a while. It is right by the flourescent grow light (24 hours/day) plus near the west window. It has seemed happy enough.
Waggie (x2) were in the ground outdoors

but remarkably seem fine. Thank you, pipe heating tape and insulation!
Washy are all in the cold "ballroom" this year. To heavy to move easily. They seem to be fine so I'll leave them alone until April.

The long-term has nightly lows above freezing for a week!

However, historically, our heaviest snows tend to be in March when we get humid Gulf air (e.g., like today) and then some cold arctic air heads down. March is never super cold, but I don't want a heavy wet snow on these guys.
