Hi from Aurora, Colorado
I've been a hardy palms enthusiast for many years, but after moving to Colorado, decided it was probably not worth the effort. However, I've decided to give it a shot. So I'm now back in the act! I have a 15 gallon trachy and some smaller Washies as well as one mediterannean fan palm. I figure, what the heck. This winter, I'll have a type of tee-pee structure protectiong them with some supplmental heat when it gets really cold. We'll see what happens!

Welcome!
I'm new here, too (October). I received excellent advice here over the winter. All my outdoor palms survived our toughest winter in decades, and I give forum members much of the credit.
One tip: members expect photos. Attaching them is not easy. I eventually figured it out, again with help from members.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Thanks!
Yes, I'm wishing for the best. I also went on craiglist and obtained some rather large yuccas for free. (My wife introduced me to Craiglist not too long ago. I had no idea people gave away plants on there!) Has anyone had good luck with craigslist regarding obtaining plants?
