Some updates

Post by Okanagan desert-palms »

Here are some updates on how things are going with my palms in the ground. For some reason earwigs have made themselves a home in the crown of my three needle palms I planted last March.I evicted them with the hose and put bug killer in there before they do some real damage. The T.fortunei finally opened the spear it had since being planted finally. The newest palms I planted seem to be opening new spears right after being planted? Also 7 gal Sabal minor I just recieved from million plants.

Jason my palms survived a zone 7a winter last year -17c 1f outside -14c 4f inside the protection. If I keep collecting palms at this rate I may need to seek professional help for this addiction.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

John...

All your plams are looking good...it looks like you gotta a lot of room there for your future plantings..

I especially like the ones in front of your porch area...

I have the same probs (earwigs)... but with ants...
