"I'm sorry" and "You're right sweetie"????
Nope you have it all wrong. What we women REALLY want to hear is, "Okay honey you can get that full sleeve tattoo done now" and "Oh YES I really DO like your headbanger music even though my BAND wants to play jazz". THOSE are the catch phrases that guarantee a happy marriage here in my house.

That's some nice flash, Jay! Your friend is lucky to have someone like you who can do an original for them. I have a full shirtback, shoulders to buttocks, almost 100% coverage. The tattoooing has taken over 3 years, and contains a mermaid (the Hajime Soyrama sharkfin tailed mermaid done in portrait style), a most excellent horned water dragon holding a large pearl, a cool rendition of a galaxy with planets, moons and stars revolving around a stylized sun that has other galaxies floating in its center, and a large butterfly-winged fairy. The whole rests on top of a tribal background of stylized spirals done in 3 shades of purple which denote deep space for the solar system, and the timeless ocean for the mermaid and water dragon. The fairy's background is almost complete and is done in blue.

I also have a phoenix on my left upper arm.

That's alright Jay 8)
I always wanted a scorpion on one arm and a horntoad and cactus on the other. My friend does tats for a living when he is not doing other jobs. So when ever I want them he says :)
My wife on the other hand all ready has a few and is welcome to get more when ever she wants :D

Thanks for the nice comments. :D

Wow! Pazuzu you have allot of ink. Sounds like you have some really cool looking designs and allot of time invested. :)

Aaron, I wish i had a friend who did tats. My tattoo artist closed his shop down until he finds a new location. It backwards at my house. I'm the one with tattoos and my wife has none. She does't want to get any which is fine with me. :)

Do you both of you watch the show Miami Ink?

I have seen Miami Ink a few times, but am not a regular watcher. The only show I watch regularly on TV is the original CSI on Spike.
I got my first tattoo in 1979 and have been tattooed on and off since then, but this large piece has been approached from the lazy way for certain. I have to have time to garden and stuff, ya know! When I have time to sit, its for no less than 2 hours of tattooing. Otherwise I'd never get it finished before I croak. My artist is also a friend and never charges me full price, so I make certain I tip her well.
Wants see a wicked good ink site? Take a look at Last Rites Tattoo (Darkimages) Paul Booth's site.

If we all had more time. :) It would be a dream if i could be a tattoo artist. I don't get to draw as much as i would like. I'm a little rusty. I just started drawing again after about a ten year break. I'm more into computer/graphic design now. :) Aaron, you should open a tat shop and then i can apprentice under you. :D That would be 8)

I know what you mean about the time :( It goes to fast.

If I was back in school I know I would be drawing more, put pencil and paper in my hands and a flat desk and make me sit for over an hour and I will be draw something

Yea...we could call our tat shop "Jungle Tats" a place where you could buy a cold hardy palm and get a tattoo at the same time :D

Nope you aren't the only borderline one. I'd post a photo of my back, but I have to be topless to do it, and my hubby isn't too cool with that LOL
