Vancouver & Island members OK in latest storm?

Wes and Barrie...
hope things are OK at your homes.
Storm pics showed a lot of wind damage.

The Vernon area got heavy rain and strong winds about mid-afternoon today.
Lost the Satellite TV signal but no trees down at our place.
Sounds like Penticton got hit hard.

Not too bad really here in comparison to some of the other areas on the Island. Courtenay and Comox got blasted and parts of Saturna Island had steady winds at 107 kph (66 mph) and gusts to 143 kph (89 mph)!
By 11:00 am the same day, the winds had dropped and the sun was out. I left work early and got into the shorts and t-shirt.

Hi,
Everything is OK here.
It has been fairly mild here but the wind on Sunday and Monday was amazing.

No damage to anyhting but we lost power for 10 hours.

What a stroke of luck this storm missed Stanley Park this time.

Yes I am glad it didn't get hit hard this time. I live across the bridge from it so when it gets hit hard so do I.
