Like I said, I am off to in a week. Has anyone tried to "smuggle" seedlings or seeds back from Mexico? I have done it with success from Florida and Punta Cana. Anyone have any suggestions on species to get that maybe we can't get around here ?
I am going to the Mayan area if that helps. Of course I will have plenty of pics to post when I get back.
Thanks

I got busted !
Well not really they just took them away when I came back from Cabo San Lucas Mexico in Jan. It must have been a random check because I have smuggled "LOL" lots of seeds on previous trips to Mexico. I have about 30 to 40 plants growing from the free seeds I brought back from there. W.robusta ,Phoenix sylvestris and some Med. fan palms. The caribbean side has a more tropical palm selection for seeds. Ex. Cuban Royals ,Triangle palms, foxtail palms, spindle palms ect. You might want to google Yacatan palm trees to see what is in season.I would check the resort where you are staying as well as other resorts and hotels for palm seeds as most do not grow wild in the Yucatan area of Mexico. Arctic check out Tulum the beach is fantastic. My wife and I and inlaws are off to Cuba in Nov for 2 weeks and plan to smuggle more seeds LoL. Show us those pics from your trip.
