First snow in your area

please keep the snow up there! We had a great day yesterday......the car was reading 62F (16.6C)!!

Well, 15+cm ( around 5 or 6 inches) of snow fell, and flattened my bamboos. Good thing their small, and only one culm was broken...... unfotunatly, it was the biggest, tallest culm on my fargesia scabrida

Heavy, wetish snow too....

It actualy isnt that cold...... its a bit warmer where I am then what the weather sticker says. LOL

the only saving grace is that weather forecasts have been "all over the map" over the last year (yup!)

Bard i hear ya totaly. I woke up this morning to snow squalls that changed over to ice pelets and cold rain, i had to rush outside to cover the bamboo. Looks like im covering everything up today or tomorrow

we went from snow squalls to ice pellets to freezing rain to rain and back to ice pellets today. The bamboo isnt happy at all
