My mule palm is approx 35' tall overall is situated between a group of Syagrus (Queen) and a group of Butia Capitata. It constantly puts on huge seed pods.
I recently patiently waited for each seed to ripen fully and become plump and juicy and now I have cleaned about 1000 seed of "Butiagrus". I guess I will plant them .....and hope at least one germinates. However, my palm looks better than the photos I have seen in San Antonio.....with the leaves being longer , recurved , and more graceful. I'm sorry I don't have a photo to exhibit here. I could have sold it a few years ago to someone in N.C. for $1500 but I'm glad I didn't..........Bob
