mule palm experience?
Has anyone had experience with the xButyagrus nabbonnandi hybrid palm commonly called a mule palm? I've been reading alot about them and I found a place to purchase them from but I would like some advice from someone who has experience with them.
You're not likely to find that type of experience here. I certainly haven't of heard anyone even remotely discuss the "mule", let alone have first hand gardening experince with one. You'll likely have to go to the IPS board, apparently somewhat of a "clicky" sort there though. Are you considering buying one for a "PalmsNorth" experiment in hardiness?

Many of us try to stretch zones, sounds like you're only stretching by 1 or 1.5 zones.
If you have a sheltered area near the house, it's certainly worth a try, especially if you're prepared to provide extra winter protection.
