This is the pictures of my friend's palms! His name is Ivica Cupic and he lives in Donji Miholjac,Croatia!
He took this pics yesterday! It is still early for protection because it is nice weather here in Balkan(Croatia,Serbia...),but he makes it every winter because sometimes it is very cold here(about -20C for several nights)

my friend Ivica yesterday made the shelter for his palms, and here are pics
There are two trachycarpus fortunei, one phoenix canariensis, one agave americana inside, and one washingtonia robusta in pot!
He has a really nice garden in cold zone 7a! And this is all he does for it~I think it isn't difficult!
Next spring I will stand down my phoenix canariensis in the garden, and you will see pictures!
I hope you understand me!

Palmark ... nice photos that show a simple yet effective hoop construction. It's not obvious how the poly stays in place and not blow off in the wind? How well does this take a snow load? Again great photos, thanks.

Cheers, Barrie.
Here rarely blows strong wind and snow usually stays only 4-5 days! However my friend deposed rocks around the shelter and it will be enough to everithing stay at it's place!
