I have really enjoyed the Morning glory to no end(yet)
the color shift as the flowers age through the day is stellar.

Jim, you so lucky having a nica nad warm weather there. Our first snow visited my sweethome at the very beginning of October and since that time we have only a fwe days with a temperature around 20C but the rest are just around of 0C. So sad.... You are so lucky, man!

Sorry to hear its gotten so cold...
I think I would be depressed if it was that
way here,still enjoying spring/summer like
weather while it lasts...which just means
work work work

Brugmansia is a fall blooming plant for me in Oklahoma (but don't have one now).

As for Sabal palms, yikes! Do protect!

extent on the variety.

Jim, do you think it is detrimental to the Sabal Minor Louisiana to have its fronds die back each year?

For sure,they were a lot bigger last year with the same
treatment so definitely in decline if the leaves are not saved this year.

I have 2 sabal minors. I was just planning on covering them with trash cans. Do you know if that's generally all thats necessary to keep the previous years fronds from dying or does it usually take more than that to keep them green and healthy?

Probably need to be kept 10F+ to keep
from to much leaf damage.
