Who is being affected by this awesome long fall?
We are still in mid september weather up here in NW ontario. Our red maples are budding here. Lilacs still have green leaves. No snow yet. This is going to be a whopper of an El Nino this year

Similar this side of the Atlantic... very mild weather which is now being driven by the jet stream so lots more cloud/wind/rain but crucially arriving from a southwesterly direction. Temps are due to drop as the month progresses. It makes up for an abysmal Summer where the UK had little warmth whereas Europe had heatwaves.

Yeah awesome eh? I've just recently transplanted some Yuccas. Apparently they lend to better transplants in a mild fall like this year. Usually I'd have the boxes up by now...

My palm garden on the Oregon coast is doing great, based on the last photos my family sent. They have had great warmth (even to 60 oF!) and amazing rain from a strong of storms. Good thing I am not there now, though, as the highways all around are closed from flooding and landslides.
Warm in Oklahoma, too. Potted palms are back outside. By the huge stack of firewood I haven't had to use. Windows are open.

Well here we are here coming up to Christmas and my Sophora Microphylla "Sun King" has started to flower. Looking back on my records, it last flowered in April this year... twice in a year. Temps holding up well here 14/15C most days, zero frost. I had two frosty nights in November -3C min which put paid to Musa basjoo leaves and Tetrapanax leaves/flowers. Musa Basjoo is now forming new leaves.

We've been experiencing some very warm December here. It was over 57F/14C yesterday plus clear skies, which is unsual for this part of the year

All-time record warmth here on Xmas eve here, 16C (60f). Amazing. We do now, however, have an overnight low of -8C in the forecast.
