So I took a photo of what my Cactus bed looks like now, looks kinda rough I know. I cleared out the dead stuff and planted a large Agave parryi var truncata I got at Lowes, was surprised to find one there. I got it to replace the 2 Agave parryi var parryi's that died over the winter. I also planted a few small seedling Yucca rostratas and some Optunia ellisiana and Optunia imbricata cuttings. More improvements will happen with time. The first photo is before in the fall and the second photo is of what it looks like now.

Looks good considering the severe winter.
How do you keep your Delosperma "fire spinner" alive thru winter? They look amazing in boom!

The Delosperma 'Fire Spinner' is super hardy it survived without any damage, part of the plant was covered though but even the parts that weren't covered survived. I have to trim it up a bit sometimes it gets a little invasive. I had delosperma cooperi 'Star Dust' but it died, fire spinner seems hardier. I am planning on planting 3 Deleosperma cooperi 'Table Mountain' it's supposedly a hardier form. I will plant them in front of the rocks on the ground in front of the cacti bed. I figure it will look nice mingling with the 'Fire Spinner'. I know I miss my Horse crippler I may try to plant another one sometime. Something ate a chunk out of one of my Oklahoma barrel cacti, thats why it's flopped over, im hoping it will live, but im not sure.

its bad up here. there aren't many evergreens and even less. everything is brown and dead every spring.

My D.Cooperi barely survived ,should have enough to re-populate the area around the cactus...
My Crippler is blooming,I will try and get a pic today.

Agave Parryi seems really popular in this area right now. Alot of places are selling it here. My D. cooperi died too.
