Hello everyone sorry I have not been on here in a while. Iv been busy. I uncovered my cacti/agave/succulents and many of them died sadly. I lost both Agave parryi var parryi, Cane Cholla, Ghost plant(a few leaves survived and are rooting), Several Optunias including Optunia Cacanapa 'Ellisiana', also lost a few small yucca Rostratas 2 small one survived though and the larger one is still alive, also lost my horse crippler. Kinda sad but Oh well the show must go on. The winter here was just much colder than normal and we had a lot more snow than normal. Took these photos a few days ago. Working on getting the cacti garden cleaned up will have more photos soon.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Sorry about the casualties. I had quite a few as well. I lost my horse crippler and I had it covered. My agave did fine, but it was covered. I lost all my rostratas and hesperaloe parvifloras. Do you cover your plants? Do you have any barrel cacti that survived?
Thanks everyone. It's time to replant I will be posting new photos soon, im cleaning up the mess. Yes I have a group of several Oklahoma barrel cacti that survived and a golf ball cactus. I had them all covered but maybe not well enough as the sides were exposed to some extent but in the past that has worked fine. This winter was just really cold.
I know how your feeling. I lost 10 agaves and 5 cacti in just my rock garden. My Gentry Jaws and Salmiana Crazy Horse were approaching 3' each. Both were covered. My trichocereus came through unfazed and is reaching 15" tall now. Seems to be a real hardy cactus.
I had everything covered Jim however nothing was heated. Most the plants had survived a few years my Agave Parryi had been through 2 other winters and were fine. This winter it killed them though. I should have probably heated it somehow it was so cold. I also lost my big Trachy that I planted 5 years ago when I moved here it had spear pull, not sure if it will come back or not, its all brown. The smaller Trachys all survived all were covered. My needle palms, and Sabal minors all survived they were not covered and have some leaf damage but are starting to shoot up new leaves.
