I just could not stand looking at Jims pics anymore so I had to go out and pick up one myself..this is my first one but I know it won't be my last one..PRINCEPS!
possibly picking up a trithrinax campestris next week if the weather isnt to bad...or maybe another one of these.
Nice one Mike Let us know how you get on with it. As you know a lot of UK and European growers have had problems with basal rot on this species. I have planted two out this year as they did not grow that strong in pots. Hopefully they'll survive

I'm going to get a princeps hybrid from Nigel come spring
Those look wonderful bard.I have very little luck from seed but it would be a much cheaper route if I could get them to germ

He claims they grow faster and do better so we will see once I get one..
Whats the ticket on a big princeps steve? or are they in the not for sale pile? they look so good when there big like that
Not all people that raise and sell palms will ship, it's for local pick up only so wondered who he was on Craigs list.
Just today, I bought a Candy Cane Palm from a guy just North of San Diego but had to have my daughter who is stationed in San Diego drive up to Carlsbad, CA to pick it up for me and take to UPS store to ship to me.
