Steve for one,I'll say a prayer!!!
I planted four last week, and got home just as the snow started falling after work, and placed trash cans over them, just went out and uncovered them, after being closed up for 2 days now, they look ok,but time will tell.
Well 23* this morning,with a windchill of 10*F.
Now a balmy 35*.
I wish 80*,there saying hi 50's low 60's,all the trees that where leafed out got fried!!!
Worried that the wheat crop, might have gotten it too!
Not good for the peaches, apricots and apples either!!!
Checked in at 19F / -7C
Probably a bit colder tonight, Hoping the farmers come through with minimal losses.
I did mangle the robusta getting a trash can over the top of it
It looks good. I doubt it will get any damage at all if it dosent go below 18F. I have some that went through those exact conditions for a few months straight lost a couple lower leaves but are fine now. Good luck
Had a plastic trash can over top of the Robusta, the Livistona just had a sheet draped over it. where's those 80F temps? Just heard another 6" of snow for this weekend.........
Florida!!!!LOL
Yes heard saturday morning could get a inch or more here.
My poor palm looks so ratty from all the wind, cold and those trash cans putting on and off, look like they have been thru a hurricane!!!!
Maybe in a couple weeks will see some 80*
