nice growth on that Washy......keep the updates coming. Mine did very poorly this summer.....as it only grew 1 new leaf. I 'think' the roots may have been frozen and were killed?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Nice...that thing will be moving your air-conditioner in no time.

They require a foot of mulch during winter here and
the whole area around the palm for quite a ways out....
My guess is if you look you will see your Washy has put out
a bunch of giant new roots from just above where the old ones were-
if that is the issue and it most certainly has to be with just one leaf this year.

Adam,
That's a ton of growth in only a year.
How'd the other one do (the one you moved)?

Barb,
I had three clumps planted thru winter.
Onne had a clear plastic bucket filled with mulch in it over top of it. It died by spring.
I had one with just a rose cone and a layer of mulch. It died.
Then there is this clump. Heated box over it. Did great. I split the two and put the second in a 10 inch pot and is doing great. But not as well as the one in ground, which barely had any root disturbance during the separation.
