Will Winter ever end????

Yet another "last" snow and cold front moved through. Had to pull all less cold hardier palms back in the garage, but left a few out.

Yup. Same here. It's 1C and snow if falling quickly and accumulating!

Spring will come though, right?

Yea Jim I was sitting out on the patio myself surrounded by all my palms enjoying a cold beer and thinking "Spring is FINALLY here"

Even planted a Pygmy Date Palm in the ground for the season since they are so cheap to buy. Amazingly, so far still looks pretty good!

Well, somebody sent it back here...

Brutal strong and cold winds, freezing tonight.
Cold rain yesterday and this morning.

I'm done, not gonna drag stuff back inside.
The buggers are on their own now.

Scott, we are not suppose to get snow in april here. Normaly the last winter storm we get here (depend of the year) is in at the end of march. But sometime its happen in april, every 3-5 years.
But you guy's, after having hot weather, i think its not funny to see a big change of temp. like that

Nope-it hasn't even been below freezing since the beginning of the month...

looks like our drought is over, they are saying after next week that some areas may have received 4-8"+ of rainfall,
that said,I may put the rain cover over the cactus shelter Sunday night/Monday as they have already seen 2.7" this month.

Beny great looking palms, despite the challenges.
But they do deserve a nice warm spell.

Thx Barb, yes, the forecast predict 13-18c for all the next week :D ...finally. All the snow we received yesterday will be gone tomorrow...still 3 palms to unprotect, 1 Butia and 2 Trachy.
