Trachycarpus inflorescence
Quit a bit later than everyone else here, but he's growing like mad:

Box elder bugs and very small ants seem to be attracted to the flowers (they disappeared when the camera arrived).

Your Trachy looks very happy.........once the snow melts it will feel like spring
I was at Bills place on Sunday and he has Trachy blooms every where. The local news reported pollen counts were higher than normal due to palm pollen

You would've laughed a few weeks agoonce the snow melts it will feel like spring
Thanks folks.
I think John and I decided last year mine is a male.
To put it gently, he's got "little balls"...
We were all hoping mine was a female.
But like its owner, it's a pretty old Trachy, so I'm grateful to see ANYTHING actually.
I can well imagine how Bill's place looks with all those Trachies and Washies flowering.
That'd be heaven!!!!

Bill's doing great. All his palms look very good and are growing like mad........except for one large Washy which he didn't get to protect..........it died even though we had our 2nd mildest winter ever......too bad.

What a shame to lose one of those big beauties.
Hope it wasn't the blue one ...
Thanks for the update on Bill.
