Wind Damage

Post by Wes North Van »

This is the only damage to any of my plants during our 100 mph winds this winter.
The frond after a month later is still nice and green, although the pic kinda makes it look brown. The palms made out fine during probably the worst winter I have seen here at my place and I have lived here since 1983.
Anyone know if I should be doing anything about this. Can it be repaired?

I am glad that that is all the damage that you sustained. The palm still looks good.

Although it may be damaged as long as it's green it's still making sugar! Which still helps feed the plant, and right now thats what important.
Looks real good to take 100 mph winds!!

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Winds

Other than that one frond everything else was OK at both of my places. My other place is surrounded with 100'+ trees and nothing happened there either. I was lucky because we had many trees in Vancouver that fell over.
