Don't know if I have enough pictures but here goes...

Yucca (Variegated)maybe April 2008,I don't think these get as big as Y.Aloifolia...

March 1,2009-The strong March sun and cold nights have caused it's color to explode!

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -09032.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -09032.jpg" border="0" alt="Var-Aloifolia"></a>

About a year later....March 5, 2010

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -10011.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -10011.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I believe that is the top of it with the greenhouse collapsed from 15"+ snow last Feb.(2011)

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -11005.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -11005.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Here it is,nicely recovered from it's run in with the roof of the G-house and all that snow!

Oct 3,2011.

One of my favorite plants but yet I often forget to look at it.

Very pretty specimen, Jim, and amazing growth once again.

Good it didn't lose a head from the GH collapse.

What fert do you use on your yuccas?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Jim- Great growth on that sucker! How cold has it taken for you? I killed one over a 2 year period a while ago! It was beautiful while it lasted!

Barb

I threw some 10-10-10 down last year,I think.

DZ

These are a variegated form of Y.Aloifolia.

Paul

Everything in the Cactus bed(hoop-house)has
seen at least single digits (F)every winter.
So mild this year(and because I added 1" bubble wrap to the cover)
that it hasn't been below 23F the whole month inside the hoop-house.

Yeeha

I know the one you mean.....

it's to small to sit in now as it is built smaller to conserve power.
The layer of 1" bubble wrap and 2 layers of plastic helped
temps to stay in the low 20s with only one 750wt space heater
on while the outside temp was 2F.
