Does anybody have experience with trachycarpus latisectus specifically hardiness and growth?

I would think it would be hardy to zone 7b at very best. There are a lot of claims that it's hardier, since it comes from the same general area as musa sikkimensis, but I think you would be better off with a regular t. fortunei, wagnerianus, takil, etc. I'm sure our resident trachycarpus experts can shed some more light on this palm

The least hardy of the trachys along with Martianus.

Damage can begin with temps in the low 20s

Do you think oreophilus can handle Zone 8?
