have sabal minor and S.mexicana(from Texas)
I would be interested in a trade for some of your T. fortunei seeds. I was about to collect some from a local source, but when I got there they had been taken!
I have 13 S. minor, and 25 S.mexicana. The S.mexicana is from texas so it is cold hardy, I have no idea where the S.minor is from.
Let me know if you want to trade.

I have quite a few sabal Palmetto (tree form) seeds harvested last month from central Florida. I can validate the quality since I'm seeing 30-40% germination since sowing them January 1st.
I'd be interested in getting some of your T. Fortunei seeds. Let me know. Thanks.

I'll take some. Send me your address at (dingrassia@wi.rr.com), I'll do the same. If you have more than you need, we'll trade 1-1. If not, I'll give you two for one of the Fortunei. I've got about 16. Remember, these are sabal Palmetto, not sabal minor, and they're from central Florida, just north of Orlando. Thanks.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

hey DesertZone
Im sure they would be slow here also . thats why we plant seedlings or 3 to 7 gallon speciemens.
The Eco-Type Texan came from DOn of OKC about 3 years ago...1 gallon potted plant about 2 years old when he sent it. It seeded last year also.
The Louisiana Minors came from Gerrys Jungle back in 2000 and its seeded for the past 3 years/. Im finding they grow faster ( as needles do here )
than many people report , then again it could be my climate.
We only have a z6 or z7 low once or twice a winter , most other lows are z8 or better. That must help some to see them grow faster than I thought they could.

Got the seeds!
Yes I got them thank you very much! They look very fresh, and I'll keep them labeled as Vancover T.fortunei.
It kind of surprises me that the make it into the U.S. so easy. It seems like things are getting more and more uptight down here(federally uptight)

Let me know when they germinate.
I too am suprised how easy it is to get seeds across the border but it is done numerous times a day. It is a different matter when you try plant material.
