Things have really been growing! Is that green form of ensete or the red maurellii? It's kinda green for maurelli and too reddish for regular ensete ventricosum.

I also like the stiff-fronds on those Waggies!
The trunk-cut Trachies are miracles...great success.
Naini Tal has come back so well, another great success.

The gloriosa is well-named, lovely flowers.

How those Washies have grown in all that heat this summer! They're huge!

Congrats, you'll be able to sit back in your chair this winter and be proud of what you've created this summer.

Wow Jim. :shock: What did you feed that maurelii?? It looks great!! I hope my maurelii's can get that big next year, I think they're as big now as yours was in last years pic. I'm going to overwinter mine under grow lights in my basement.

The trunk cut Trachy -- astounding.
I don't want to give away Bryan's (AG) story, but, well, his trunk cutting did not work out for him. All the more reason for you to be pleased with your success.
Sequoia: super growth. In a few years you'll climb that with your camera to give us aerials!

Holy Trachy fest Batman :shock:

Everything looks really really good. Those Thai Black Musa are pimp the black really has come out, compared to earlier pics. That jade plant is something feirce too, nice trunk on it.

It looks like all the plants are growing super quick, and strong...... i think we have to test for HGH.....

Barb-

there are definitely some decisions to make on what goes where,the bananas that are
over 8' make it simple,to big to bring in! I know the Borneo(Alocasia)giant will need to come in
but not sure about the Thai giant,he may be headed for the basement considering how fast they
grow-that will make our(possibly Bill 'sponsored'-not to imply he's buying! :wink: )Thai giant grow off
next year more fun/even! :D

I think you have the right idea about your Abyssinian-they get that big all by themselves!-
but this will be the last year it fits in basement!
This year mine goes into storage like a Canna,just imagine-if it makes it-how big it will be next year!
With a summer like this next year,yours should be right there 8)

The trunk cut Trachys have been a pleasant surprise this year,I will also do this sooner-in the future-
makes sense :| -you lose anything that's already dead anyway!

It is a dream of mine to cross/or own a WagxPrinceps someday-that would be a beauty!

What a combination of warmth/heat and moisture(excessive rainfall)this year-
I just hope it shuts off going into winter so my plants aren't a bunch of-plump-exploding daddies going into winter!
