Pics from hike in the Okanagan highlands

Post by lucky1 »

It's 4C 39F today! :D

Hiked into the hills with the dog today...both of us need to walk off some of the holiday eating/drinking, ha ha.

Sun tried to shine, but it was mostly overcast.
Flocks of Cedar Waxwings were chattering all over the hills.

With only two inches of snow on the ground, the dog still managed to get cactus in her paw.
Nice to get out into fresh air again after all that cold weather.

Nice pics Barb. It's always nicer to be outside but weather can be unsettled. It's been very boring here lately, just the way I like it. No wind, very little rain and 10.9ºC (51.6ºF) yesterday. I hope I haven't jinxed us

Cheers, Barrie.

Nice pictures Barb! I'm glad your weather has been mild lately, it's nice to be able to walk around outside without
freezing to death.

Thanks folks.

Yup, life would be perfect if winter weather improved for all forum members who are getting the super-freeze right now.

Love their high-pitched chattering as the large flock circles.

Seldom saw Cedar Waxwings during winter years ago, obviously not migrating south for winter anymore.
One small good thing from climate change. :D
