All day snow storm. The pic was from early in the day. Snow about 6 more inches!

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Aaron,

That's an absolutely beautiful pic, with your brevifolia in the snow. It's too bad, and crazy, that it's early October! You guys will have lots of warm weather left though.

Our five-day forecast is crazy, even for Calgary! High tomorrow around 60f, and then lows by the end of the week in the mid-teens! That's almost unheard of for us, at this time of year....it's way too early for an arctic blast like this! Sadly, my potted palms will have to come in, 14f is a bit too much.

Take Care,

Duncan

Thanks you guys for the moral support. :) The snow has just about melted now. It has been a wake up call that colder weather is not far away.
One weak ago it was in the 80'Sf now highs in the 30's. The leaves have'nt even changed color yet. :? :D

Just planted a Y. brevifolia small seedling about 6" tall yesterday. New challenge for me and this species here.

Cheers, Barrie. (warm up soon)

eek that looks scary, I salute you for gardening in such a wild unpredictable climate!

Lucky for us in UK we are going into a mild spell with southerly winds from Africa so temperatures this week should be around 63F maybe as high as 68F in lucky spots. Night temperatures 55-59F... well pay im sure in the winter at some point.

I always say though since we cant predict the weather, lets hope we just get the cold out of the way earlier!
