Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Your montana is amazing. So big! I never seen a large one like that in Europe, but in Palmhunter in Belgium. Comes from import, right?
I have 3 of them here in Paris, France since 2 years. They are 5 years old, and damn they are very cold resistant and they can manage tons of water during winter. Maybe as hardy as a A. neomexicana or havardiana.
Brrrr.... That looks cold, we had snow back in early oct., but has long ago melted.
I had a montana for 2-3 years. It did not like wet winters, and not very cold hardy when young.

All the websites/information always say to protect against any wet in the crown during cold weather.
Yet your pictures seem to dispute that.
Your third photo shows the yucca rostrata? brevifolia? still growing through the snowfall!
Your yuccas are astonishingly beautiful! Now that I own 3 sizes of y.rostrata (seedling to 2nd year to 5 year...the big one), I'm going to grow agaves next. But I doubt I'll find any as beautiful as yours.

Third foto is Linearifolia.

Hi Josef,
How do you like your linearifolia? I was thinking of getting one, and was wondering how they do through cold weather?
