Montreal palm sales?

Post by Okanagan desert-palms »

I couldn`t believe this site when I came across it on another palm board. Nice selection of larger cold hardier palms and plants. A little expensive for some of them.

John, thanks for the link.
Nice to see a Canadian grower with a nice selection.

Wonder if they have just the size/price listed, or if smaller ones are available too.
No size indicated on the Bismarckia nobilis for $250.

The 15 gal Y.rostrata, at $425, is cheap when compared to the 15 gal Takil at $670 and 7 gal Nannorhops for $525.

You all will have to start growing extras and sale to them.   I guess the Canadian $ is about equivelent to the US $ still? If so some of them are quite expensive.

Yow. most of that stuff looked very pricey to me.
Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

I don`t think I will be ordering any time soon. I sure would like a nursery like that on the west coast just not those prices.

Here's an August 08 palm price list from a California grower...
Even with costs of phytosanitary certificate, etc., considerably cheaper than Montreal's.

International orders $300 minimum. No cycads can be shipped out of the U.S., they advise.
And just look at that selection!

Barb thanks for sharing that website. I think I`ve seen it before and saved it in my favorites among 200 other sites for palms I have saved LOL  I`ll keep it saved under Palmsnorth for next year palm ordering. Great prices.

John, I was impressed with their selection.
I could go absolutely crazy with their order form! will have to show SOME restraint. :?

They're the one we've been looking for, I think.

Maybe even pool together for an order shipped to BC? ... just a thought.

Cheers, Barrie.

That occurred to me, too, Barrie.
I'll check around locally to see if anyone's interested.
And, of course, the availability list wasn't published, so there might be a blip or two.
