Hey Laaz (Todd) long time no hear.

Hope all is well at your end.
I did get an ID from a fellow enthusiast in California. He identified it as
Ctenanthe pilosa (pronounced ~ ten-ANTH-ee ~ py-LOH-sa) and has only been available for the past 6 or 7 years. This one is supposedly the most frost tolerant of the bunch but still rated as a 9b/10a plant. I'll put the main plant inside and experiment with mulching etc and a well sited spot in my 8b climate (from division as a returning perennial).
