very impressive Steve. You should just dig the Wash Robusta out of the ground and move south. At the rate that WR is growing it will quickly outgrow any structure you build around it. I can hardly wait to see what you have to do in Oct 2009 to cover that palm. Keep up the great work.

How are things in your part of the world? As for the W.robusta, I'm framing an opening above it that will allow further expansion. Eventually, it will be growing up and through the roof. ( I'll figure out something else then
Knnn ... geez, your W. robusta looks great ! It beats the hell out of mine in a much milder winter climate (zone 8b). Mine's shown some growth but not anything as reported by yourself or others in previous threads. Even this season it's barely under way but it's healthy as a horse. Others from England are showing big results from theirs too. I guess I'm happy enough that it's alive and well.
