Vasek welcome to our forum. Where in the Czech Republic are you? Amazing Yuccas and Palms you have there. Are those fronds broken on your T.fortunei. How long have you had your Yuccas and Palms in the ground?

Vaclav, welcome to the forum!
Your yuccas are spectacular.

How long have you had your trunking yuccas?

Nice mild winter you had.

Beautiful garden.

Hello

I thank you much for your praise
for a long time I had a garden on which I had many large plants, I have to build about 8 years old and has been focused on the great south (a lot of dry stone slope). Unfortunately, it has not, and most plants have been destroyed by the current owner of the slope built terraces. Now his own garden that I started to work before 3 years. It is not very good (450 m / m - USDA5B) but I do it away again and began to buy new plants, now I have discontinued many subtropical plants mainly in character. Most of the Czech Republic is USDA6 somewhere and 7 but my garden is very high. Palma and yucca are placed already 3 years in the country outside and grow well because the last 2 years have been a lot of warm winters.

I like entertainment trade in exotic plants (www.yuccaland.cz)

some other pictures from my garden can be found here:

Vaclav, wonderful trunking yuccas and cactus on your website. Congratulations.
Hey everyone, look at his website!

The current owner destroyed plants on the terraces????? :x :x

You are fortunate to have had such warm winters...beautiful plants.
I am amazed you're growing ficus, passionfruit, and other tender plants.

Nice winter pics too! :D

hi Barb
I thought that Vernon is more warm, I saw pictures recently from the Botanical Garden in vancouveru and grow there really amazing plants. Vancouver is about USDA7. I watched this on google earth and vernon be quite close.
I can experiment with many plants as I buy it at wholesale prices. For example, Trachycarpus f. and yucca rostrata strain 120 centimeters - 80 euros.
I ask you what those successes during the growing palms and yucca

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

80 Euros is $120 Cdn for a 120 cm (47-inch) Y.rostrata...I'd pay that if I could find one that size.

Vancouver's Zone 7 seems more than 400 km away during Vernon's Arctic outflows from the Northwest during winter.

For a number of years, we had milder winters typical of Zone 5 or 6, or 6b.
But all it takes is five days of -19C to kill many plants dead, especially when there is little snow cover.
I ask you what those successes during the growing palms and yucca
Sorry, but ? your English is super...I don't know one word of your language. :?

Just so we are on the same page Vancouver near the water is a zone 8b places inland in the Fraser valley such as Abbotsford and Chilliwack are a zone 7b.
