We could see up to 15-40 cm of snow. They said if it moves father north without the warm front, We could see up to 60-70.
Anyone else bracing for this storm?

For us out west here February means the end of winter is just around the corner but for the people out east like in Ontario the tougher part of winter is coming.
I use February 14th, Valentine's day as the end of winter for me. It can go below freezing after that but just and no real damage will be done after that date.

End of winter! HA! Not so here. I use the middle the March as the time when real damaging cold is no longer probable. Our low temperature last year came at the beginning of March. I do remember a powerful storm in March (92 I think) where we drove down to Florida and when we arrived in the 'sunshine state' it was snowing...
The good news for us is that it looks like we're in the clear until the middle of the month (according to the weathernetwork anyway).
One thing that I've noticed is that the Lake here (Ontario) doesn;t freeze most winters... I think that this is one of the most telling traits of global warming... It used to freeze every year now it might freeze 1 in 5!

4 inches of snow fell
We are getting freezing rain and ice pellets right now but we already 8-10 cm fell. The wind is an issue and for next week we
are getting rain with temperatures 6°C Tuesday and Wednesday 9°C with more strong winds close to 100 km/h.
Our winter ends around mid march but not always. In March we get big temperature differences like on march the 20th we
could have 24C but on the other year we could have -5C and thats still in winter or the end of it. We start seeing the summer like temperatures in march but not every year.

I hope you're right Wes. Temps haven't been impressive to say the least. We've been stuck in a narrow temperature band for a long period and the cycle appears to be continuing according to models and forecasts from Environment Canada. La Nina has a firm grip and she is reluctant to let go. I think we'll have to wait a bit longer this year for warmer weather that is typical of mid February.
Cheers, Barrie.

23 cm of snow fell
We did not really escape it but we did have a load of ice pellets. There is some warm temperatures on the way with rain.
