There should be more palms at English Bay.

Kind of looks like your palms Wes.
Only yours are larger.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

North Van Palms

Post by Wes North Van »

Yes that is my yard.

This pic I believe was taken 4 years ago.

My palms are much taller now. They do seem to grow two 1 to 2 feet a year.

Thanks. I am lucky for sure to live in such a beautiful place. The only drawback is the amount of winter rain.

We rarely see snow down at my place and if we do it is very wet snow and only about an inch or so.

Absolutely gorgeous...
The picture you posted of your palms, Wes ... about 6 - 8 months ago I think showed the palms nearly double the size of this pic.

Paradise, Wes!

They are probably close to 6 maybe 8 feet taller now. They grow quicklly when they get to that size.

I have planted quite a few more now so in a few years there will be more in the picture if I took another one.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps
