Venezeula Royal Problem

Post by Kansas » Sun Jan 14, 2007 10:09 am

The Venezuelan Royal I got off EBay, I potted up woth a mixture of Pensacola Beach sand, Perlite, Miracle Grow Palm Soil.
I watered in and kept in filtered sun. It has slowly started to dry up the two leaves it has. The soil is still moist and now is under a grow light. What else can I do????

Kansas,

I'd cut the waterings for sure...

Humidity is the way to go..That lite may be contributing to the leeaves drying out?

Same problem with my date palm...natural sun and humidity...less water...

I'm wondering, should I cut the two leaves off (leaving the emerging one) like they do Palmettos?

Well..If their toast...I'd be inclined to take them off...

If one is emerging...thats good news...that means the days are def. getting longer....
