This banana is ten foot to leaf tip, about 4.5 foot to top of p-stem. It has been bigger, but this summer has been kind with low winds, and much rain.
Three pups are very quickly growing at the base.

I see your growing figs too. What's the best performing fig in your area? Any super hardy forms which don't get too much branch die back?

Yeah grimo nut farm is a short drive from here and offers a good selection of figs. I don't risk dieback. Mine, I bury each year and it yields two crops. The early crop always bears less. This tree has been there for five years and I purchased it seven years ago when I was a plant newbie and neglected to observe the name of the cultivar.

Yeah everyone keeps their figs in pots around here. Only one fella a few towns over had the entire front of his house tarped off to protect his ground planted mass of figs. I did leave one two year old fig tree in ground at the last house we sold... they gave zero protection (winter of 08-09) and it had heavy dieback, but strong regrowth. Same happened here with some extra figs I didn't care to keep.
