Could it be root die back in winter? Or could it be the variety? I have had them root rot in the winter, in shaded areas. I do know that they seem to grow fine here next to grass/lawns. Must be bac-t infection over the winter, could be there during the summer but takes over in the winter?TimMAz6 wrote:nice specimen Aaron.......I have a 13 year old baccata I grew from seed............it still looks like a seedling. It will grow 5 or 6 leaves in summer and all will die back in winter.......the cycle continues.......it's just not happy. There are other factors besides cold which is killing off the leaves.......not sure what.
