Yes, there are rattlesnakes all over the Okanagan Valley.

Wes There are Rattlesnakes in the hills as well as Gecos ,Cactus ,Sagebrush ,and Ponderosa pine trees . Your welcome anytime.

Allen Kelowna has changed lots in the last 20 years it is the fastest growing city in Canada. Metro pop of 170,000 . 1987 pop of 85,000. Will we have enough water to sustain this boom of people moving into the Okanagan Valley here is the question? Almost to big for me I`m seriously thinking of moving to Osoyoos pop 5500. I will stay in Okanagan.

I know that the city has grown massively. But the arid beauty of the scenery surrounding the urban sprawl looks about the same as before the building boom.

I don't recall the event that brought the blimp; the skins game was years ago (will return this year to Predator Ridge)

Since you mention volcano and your pics show numerous unique landforms, you may be interested in what nearby Westbank has issued re valley's history.

Barb thanks for those informative sites about the Okanagan Valley.My wife won two tickets on a radio contest for the Bell blimp Aug 2006. I had a couple beers for liquid courage before getting on the lightship "not very good with heights".

Ya, I'm not keen on heights either...

Yes, I'm really impressed with what Westbank did on the volcanic history of our area.
Since finding that website, I look at the valley in a whole new light and imagine glaciers scouring the valleys...glaciers that buried Big White and Silver Star Mountains.

Yeah, We do live in a nice place. I'm planning on Osoyoos when I'm older. Or if I ever win the lottery it will be S. Nevada.
