Gotta say in times of trouble and BS, you folks are great.
I can visit here and enjoy what we all share...plants.
There's so much s**t out there everyday...it's nice to have a place where s**it doesn't happen.
Thanks to everyone for your years of advice and encouragement and--just being there.

I'll second that!!!! Palmsnorth has become a regular stop for me everyday. I have learned more about cold hardies from this site and it's great people than I would of ever on my own. Thanks all!!

I agree completely. It is nice to have a comfortable place to discuss our addictions.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

After 26 years growing palms and exotics, my passion is still strong and a life-long hobby. I can recall the early years and how difficult is was to get palms, seeds, and certainly information. The internet has provided many with the tools to become successful much faster than myself. I was looked at as crazy back then for attemping such things. Now the doubters are approaching me. Gardening is common ground irregardless of race, religion or beliefs and I help all who stop by. Tools such as this board are a great way to inter-act and exchange info and ideas. We're all better for it.

Cheers, Barrie.
